How many people will he lose in the process? FROM THE AUTHOR OF ONLY THE DEAD, HELL'S GATE & FLESH EVIDENCE, COMES ANOTHER EXPLOSIVE CRIME THRILLER.
My Review
Although this is book the fourth in the DCI Cyril Bennet series, this was my introduction, to Bennet and his team. I was in no way disadvantaged by this, as it read well as a standalone, and I soon got into the characters. It's a tale of murder, drugs, sexual exploitation and people trafikking and the kidnapping of his own detective sergeant by a sadistic psychopath with a grudge against DCI Bennet. As a reader, I could feel the fear and the emotions that DCI Bennet and his team were going through, such was the quality of the writing. For me, the rest of the series is now on my reading list and it merits a very worthy five stars.
