About Elisabeth Carpenter
Elisabeth (Libby) Carpenter won a Northern Writers New Fiction Award (2016) and was longlisted for Yeovil Literary Prize (2015 & 2016) and MsLexia Women’s Novel award (2015). Elisabeth lives in Preston, Lancashire with her family. She loves the north of England, setting most of her stories in the area – including the novel she is writing at the moment.
My Review
What a breathtaking piece of work. It was a tangled web of emotions, drama, suspense and mystery, that were from two different generations but seemed to be connected. An eight year old Grace goes missing, and when it goes out on the news, this triggers memories and similarities for an old lady who years ago whose daughter also went missing. Simple? No not at all, look out for the twist.
