About Linda Huber
Linda Huber is an ex-physiotherapist who grew up in Glasgow but has lived over half her life in Switzerland, where she now works as a language teacher and writes novels. The inspiration for her books comes from everyday life - a family member's struggle with dementia, the discovery that a child in her extended family drowned in the 1940s, and more.Death Wish is Linda's seventh suspense novel, and tells the story of one family facing illness and death, while the people next door have a secret...She has also published The Saturday Secret, a charity collection of feel-good short stories. 2017 profits go to Doctors Without Borders.Visit Linda's website www.lindahuber.net, and follow her on Twitter @LindaHuber19.
Death Wish is about the personal struggles of two families, Martine and Stu with their daughter Joya, and their mother who has Huntingdon's disease and wished to die with dignity, hence the title.
The neighbouring family is Ashley and Leo with their mother Eleanor, who puts me in mind of Cruella de Vil, a heartless controlling woman, who both Ashley and Leo want out of their lives by fair means or foul.
I do enjoy standalone novels, which is what I like about Linda Huber's work. Something new and fresh each time. I consider myself fortunate that I have more Huber titles yet to read.
