About Mark Tilbury
Mark lives in a small village in the lovely county of Cumbria, although his books are set in Oxfordshire where he was born and raised. After serving in the Royal Navy and raising his two daughters after being widowed, Mark finally took the plunge and self-published two books on Amazon, The Revelation Room and The Eyes of the Accused. My Review
There was no doubt in my mind that 'The Liar's Promise' was full of promise, having read Mark Tilbury's 'Revelation Room', 'The Eye Of The Accused' and the mind-blowing 'Abattoir Of Dreams.' This latest offering, is a new shade of dark, I think it should be called 'Tilbury Dark.' Beware of the 'tall man.' When Mel Hollis takes her four-year old daughter Chloe to a pantomime at the local theatre that she had been looking forward to, Chloe refused to enter the theatre, because she said the 'tall man' was in there and was 'going to kill them all.' This is a tale of possession, past lives, torture and execution, at the whim of 'the tall man' a man whose gameplay feeds his ego causing pain and misery to other peoples lives. There was everything that I crave from this genre within this book, and a lot more, just the right amount of suspense, fear, jealousy, infidelity, humour and supernatural, to make it Tilbury Dark.
