My Review
"Convincing and compelling paranormal tale."
This was my first Jodi Taylor book so I didn't know quite what to expect. As it happened, keeping an open mind was best, because the surprises in store for me were a step further than tales of the unexpected. Creepy, ghostly, sometimes rather sad (in a good way), I thoroughly enjoyed this tale that was brilliantly narrated by Kate Scarfe. Elizabeth Cage has a sixth sense, she can see what people are thinking, their auras, and she can also see entities not of this world. She by no means sees this as a gift and endeavours to present herself as a 'boring' individual, so as not to attract attention to herself in this life. This put her in good stead until the death of her husband, when her world was invaded way beyond her control, and terrible things were about to happen. The ending blew my mind, it was that good.
