Escape From Hell by Shervin Jamali

The Blurb
In the sequel to "The Devil's Lieutenant," Michael rides again. He may have discovered a loophole that will allow him to break his allegiance to Satan and finally be reunited with his family. But at what cost? He begins yet another nightmarish journey, perhaps even more heart-breaking than his last, as he seeks redemption and a chance to hold his wife and his son in his arms once again. Warning: the story contains graphic violence and profanity.
About Shervin Jamali

I've been writing for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until recently that it just seemed to click. I've had stories locked away, but suddenly, and unexpectedly, they now need to get out. I completed the first draft of "The Devil's Lieutenant" in just two months, and that was as a result of writing when I had the opportunity to do so. My 8-5 job and family still came first. I look forward to the day when I can be a full time writer who can take my children to school, pick them up and chauffeur them to various activities, with a healthy dose of writing in between. I believe that day might be right around the corner. Also, my favorite punctuation mark is the semi-colon; it's often used incorrectly, but it's always winking at you!
My Review
I didn't get eternal damnation for reading (and enjoying) the Devil's Lieutenant, but now I've read the sequel Escape From Hell so I reckon the Devil's stoking up those fires for me already. Michael had sacrificed himself to save the souls of his family and was condemned to continue as the Devil's Lieutenant for all eternity or as long as it suits the Devil. He has a game plan to find a good person to commit heinous crimes against humanity so that he could deliver his soul to the Devil as a substitute Lieutenant freeing him to join his family. What made all this work for me was the tongue in cheek comedic style that was used to write it. Well you can't take something like this too seriously. However, its seriously addictive which is just as well because there is another coming out soon, 'The Unholy Trinity', I can't wait... sssh... I'm so going to burn after that one!
