McKenzie Crawford is an alcoholic wife, whose husband and family didn't believe her when she said she had a stalker, as they regard her to be a liar and a drama queen. When she disappears, it is thought that this was for attention and she was having an affair with another man. The reality was she was tied down on a bed, in a rat-infested cellar, battered and bruised and sexually abused. This standalone thriller by Owen Mullen had all the ingredients to keep staunch devotees of the genre suitably on the edge of their seats.
