You Belong To Me by Mark Tilbury
The Blurb
Can two wrongs ever make a right? The police never found fifteen-year-old Ellie Hutton. She vanished ten years ago after walking home from school along a disused railway track. But Danny Sheppard knows exactly what happened to her. She is dead and buried in a field near Lassiter’s Brook. Now Cassie Rafferty has gone missing. Same age. Similar circumstances. And Danny also knows what has happened to her. Can Danny fight his demons and tell the truth this time? Or will history repeat itself and leave another innocent girl dead?

My Review
One teenage girl Ellie Hutton was kidnapped from the village of Feelham never to be seen again. Nine years later, another similar girl Cassie Rafferty, disappeared from the same village.
Four boys, Danny, Josh, Rob and Kieran, against their will, were inextricably involved with the perpetrator but powerless to save Ellie. In the present day when Cassie is taken, as men, Danny tracks down and summons his friends for an opportunity to be able to free Cassie and relieve themselves from some of the mental torture on their consciouses, they have lived with for years from what happened to Ellie.
This is a hard-hitting thriller, and in true Tilbury style the main antagonist is as nasty as they come.
The characters are well defined and makes for some interesting dynamics within the group.
‘You Belong To Me’ was a chilling unputdownable experience for me, with an unpredictable ending.
