About Ricki Thomas
Unlikely Killer was published in 2010 and was a runaway success, remaining top of the Kindle psychological thriller charts for over eight months and in the top ten for twelve. My Review
What I like most about Ricki Thomas thrillers are they are all standalone, always full of fresh ideas always full of surprises and all so very different. This time we have a kidnapping of not one, but five girls in total held hostage by a man the girls called Dick. He does not appear to be the sort of person who would wish to cause harm to anyone, yet here he is committed to his own personal campaign that involves him putting innocent lives in peril, for what reason the reader is kept guessing almost to the end of the book. I was taken on a journey into the very disturbed mind of someone who could commit such a heinous crime. As always with Ms. Thomas’s books, the complexity of the characters is not solely limited to the protagonists and antagonist, which adds to the depth of the whole story leaving me with resonance. It’s a story that once you have reached the end, you are not going to forget. I particularly liked the ruthless investigative journalist, Nancy Blaine, who would stop at nothing to get her story. The book had me looking forward to every spare moment I had, wanting to know what happens next. Great plot, great characters, and I highly recommend you buy it.
