Hanged by the Neck by Caroline England
The Blurb
Another dozen sharp and sweetly twisted tales from the dark side. From betrayal to a mother’s cruelty and a curse; from a mercy killing to the seasons of a tragic life and a book club murder; from stolen identity to a resident ghost and death by cheerful daffodils. These sinister nuggets of noir will have you thinking long after the story ends…

My Review
Hanged by the Neck is a delightful collection of dark and disturbing tales to dip in and out of during those snatched moments of the day. The prose read like the author was confiding some dark and dastardly secrets that was meant for my ears only. I say ears which is an odd thing to say when I read a book with my eyes, but this demonstrates the strength of the narrative of each of the twelve stories that came across clearly with a strong voice. It had an aura of 'Talking Heads' meets 'Tales from the Crypt' about it in a tongue in cheek style, that made me smile.
