Born in Sheffield, Caroline studied Law at the University of Manchester and stayed over the border. Caroline was a divorce and professional indemnity lawyer. She turned to writing when she deserted the law to bring up her three lovely daughters. Caroline has had short stories and poems published in a variety of literary publications and anthologies. Caroline writes domestic psychological thrillers. Her debut novel, BENEATH THE SKIN, known also as THE WIFE'S SECRET in eBook, was published by Avon HarperCollins in October 2017. My Review:
Book Two of the ‘Natalie Bach’ series, which Caroline England, and established author of domestic noir thrillers, writes under the name of Caro Land.
This series is a departure from Caroline’s usual drama, set in a world that she would know inside out as a former divorce and professional indemnity lawyer. It’s a window into a world of litigation and criminal law, for the uninitiated but intrigued such as myself.
As with the first book, the chapters are very busy with plenty going on with more than one story to get your teeth into.
Natalie is seconded to Gavin Savage’s practice, whilst he takes leave sitting at his daughter’s bedside after she has been shot.
The style and the pace of ‘Confessions’ kept me fully engaged, and alas I read it all too quickly. Looking forward to the next in the series, but I would also like some more psychological thrills from the pen of Caroline England.
